Elise Starseeker is a night elf member of the Explorer's League. She can be found on Mechagon Island. She makes an appearance at the Maker's Ascent in Uldum during the Assault in Uldum along with several other members of the league.

• Elise first appeared as a legendary neutral card and major supporting character in the League of Explorers adventure for Hearthstone. In Hearthstone lore, the mysterious Elise is known to most by her code name, The Cartographer, and has served as the mastermind behind countless successful operations for the League of Explorers. She found Sir Finley Mrrgglton as an egg.^[1] Her flavor text reads: "A large part of her job entails not mixing up the Map to the Golden Monkey with the Map to Monkey Island."
• In the Journey to Un'Goro expansion, Elise leads an expedition of junior explorers^[2] into the depths of Un'Goro Crater as another Legendary neutral Elise the Trailblazer. Her flavor text reads: "Reno taught her that blazing her own trail is a lot more fun than following someone else's map."
• In the Saviors of Uldum expansion, Elise reappears alongside the rest of the League of Explorers to save Uldum from the League of E.V.I.L.. In this incarnation, she is a legendary druid card known as Elise the Enlightened. Her flavor text reads: "From cartographer to combatant, Elise has taken the road less traveled—because no one else could find it on a map."
• Players who prepurchased the Saviors of Uldum Mega Bundle unlocked Elise as an alternate druid hero. Her flavor text reads: "Before she became an explorer, Elise taught young druids. Her ability to tolerate immature minds hasn't changed at all!"
• in the September 2019 single-player adventure accompanying Saviors of Uldum called "Tombs of Terror", she is a playable dual-class hero who counts as both Druid and Priest - a mechanic retained when she was added as a Duels hero in April 2022
• in November 2023 Elise the Leader was added as a priest skin, and Elise, Badlands Savior was introduced as a Legendary Priest card
• in July 2024 as a nod to their connection, Elise's younger sister Aranna was finally given a Demon Hunter hero card Aranna, Thrill Seeker whose "Tourist" effect allowed certain priest cards to be played

Trivia[]

• In the majority of her artworks, Elise's eyes do not glow despite her being a night elf. Only her druid art and her WoW NPC model show her with glowing eyes.
