Captain Helios is a blood elf quest giver located at the Farstrider Enclave in the Ghostlands.

Background[]

Helios held the rank of lieutenant under Lireesa Windrunner, Ranger-general of Silvermoon.

Upon her death, he did not endorse Sylvanas as ranger-general, and believed the older Alleria should inherit the title as tradition dictated. Sylvanas believed his objection was motivated more by personal dislike than a true adherence to tradition, but his challenge sparked an argument among the gathered Farstriders. Lor'themar Theron reminded him that Alleria had abdicated, and chosen the world beyond Quel'Thalas over her duty to the Farstriders besides, but Helios was not swayed until Alleria herself concurred with Theron's appraisal and shamed Helios for doubting the judgment Lireesa herself had made. Sylvanas was sworn in as ranger-general unanimously.^[1]

Helios fought in the Second War,^[2] and survived the Scourge invasion of Quel'Thalas. At some point, he was raised to captain of the Farstriders and stationed at Farstrider Enclave.
