Let Good Take Flight
Our purpose to care for people on life’s journey extends beyond our operation and into the communities we serve. With our efforts focused on 3 areas — social good, global health and well-being, and our military heroes — our airline and team members have supported countless initiatives to make a difference for those who need it the most.
Our path to net zero
As the first airline to receive validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its intermediate carbon emissions reduction goal, American is actively incorporating sustainability at every level of the business. American operates the youngest, simplest, most efficient fleet among U.S. network carriers and is an industry leader in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) consumption.
