Allan Myers, QC, has come a long way from a farming town in Victoria's west.
By all accounts it was an amazing sight. On Anzac Day, in the sleepy town of Dunkeld in Victoria's Western District, all 440 residents crowded into the main street - the Glenelg Highway, no less - for a group photograph. The town's 150th birthday is fast approaching, and this picture was one of many being taken for a book to celebrate the event. It was a big day, so big that the traffic flowing between Ballarat and Hamilton was diverted for an hour as the picture was taken, with the raw beauty of the southern Grampians' Mount Sturgeon, which juts 548 metres above sea level, providing the backdrop.
