Jaysh al-Ummah Statements and Materials on Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque

The Gaza-based jihadist group Jaysh al-Ummah, which supports al-Qa'ida and was interviewed by me in early 2019, has claimed rocket attacks on Israel amid the escalation that has followed Palestinian protests against Israeli settler expansionism in Jerusalem and the Israeli assault on the al-Aqsa Mosque. In this post I will compile and translate various materials put out by Jaysh al-Ummah during this new round of conflict. Note any parenthetical insertions in square brackets are my own.

Specimen A: Statement claiming rocket attacks on Israeli locations

Military statement issued by Jaysh al-Ummah in Bayt al-Maqdis

'Permission to fight has been given to those who are being fought because they have been wronged. And indeed God is capable of granting them victory' [Qur'an 22:39].

On the basis of our creed, and in response to the assault by the groups of the Jews on the masra of the Messenger of God (God's peace and blessings be upon him) [NB: masra refers to the site of the al-Aqsa Mosque and its association with the Prophet's night journey], and in support for our people in the city of al-Quds and the neighbourhood of Sheikh Jarrah, the mujahideen of Jaysh al-Ummah had the honour of precedence by the grace of God and from His blessing and granting of success in striking the Jewish mushtakhribat [derisive term for Jewish towns/settlements] that neighbour the Gaza strip, with a number of rockets as follows:

1. Bombing the mustakhriba of Sderot at 6:23 a.m. with three rockets.
2. Bombing occupied al-Naqab al-Gharbi at 3:30 p.m. with rocket mortars.
3. Bombing the occupied town of al-Majdal at 9:30 p.m. with a rocket projectile.

This is so and our knights remain in the field, despite the lack of capabilities and the stranglehold and siege that is placed upon us, with their hands on the triggers, along with the sincerely devoted mujahideen from the sons of the Ummah. We ask God- Almighty and Exalted is He- for victory and steadfastness for all who have supported God and His religion and His Messenger and the believers.

Tuesday: 29 Ramadan 1442 AH corresponding to 11 May 2021 CE

Targeting of the mustakhriba of al-Ayn al-Thalitha

'So you did not kill them, but rather God killed them, and you did fire when you fired, but God fired, and so that He should render the believers a good favour, indeed God is hearing, knowing' [Qur'an 8:17].

At 10:26 p.m., the mujahideen of Jaysh al-Ummah fi Bayt al-Maqdis managed to target the mustakhriba of occupied al-Ayn al-Thalitha with a rocket projectile in support of al-Quds.

Yes, God is with the patient by His help, granting of success and making the path right. al-Hassan al-Basri said: 'Patience is one of the treasures of Paradise. And man realises all good in the patience of an hour.'

The mujahideen of Jaysh al-Ummah fi Bayt al-Maqdis struck the mustakhriba of Sha'ar Hanifif with a rocket projectile of 107mm calibre, at 1:00 p.m. in response to the Jews' spilling of the Muslims' blood and making their holy sites fair game.

Specimen H: Blessing individual operation targeting Jews (16 May 2021)

Sunday: 4 Shawwal 1442 AH corresponding to 16 May 2021 CE

Jaysh al-Ummah fi Bayt al-Maqdis blesses the heroic operation that was executed by one of the heroic sons of al-Quds, which led to the wounding of a number of the group of the usurping Jews, and we in this place encourage our brothers in the [West] Bank and al-Quds and the occupied interior to engage in more effort and jihad, to revive the glory of the martyrdom operations that rob the Jews of their sleep.

And God is predominant over His affair but most of the people do not know.

Specimen I: Operations on 17 May 2021

Monday: 5 Shawwal 1442 AH corresponding to 17 May 2021 CE.

The mujahideen of Jaysh al-Ummah fi Bayt al-Maqdis struck the mustakhriba of Ashkoul with a rocket projectile of 107 mm calibre, and that was at 11:05 a.m., in response to the Jews' spilling of the Muslims' blood and making their holy sites fair game.

Monday: 5 Shawwal 1442 AH corresponding to 17 May 2021 CE.

The mujahideen of Jaysh al-Ummah fi Bayt al-Maqdis struck the mustakhriba of Kafar Izza with a rocket projectile of 107 mm calibre, and that was at 4:00 p.m., in response to the Jews' spilling of the Muslims' blood and making their holy sites fair game.

Tuesday: 6 Shawwal 1442 AH corresponding to 18 May 2021 CE.

The mujahideen of Jaysh al-Ummah fi Bayt al-Maqdis struck the mustakhriba of Kafar Izza with one rocket of 107 mm calibre, and that was at 1:00 p.m., in response to the Jews' spilling of the Muslims' blood and making their holy sites fair game.
