Brown, David Paul. An American lawyer, playwright, and author; born in Philadelphia, Sept. 28, 1795; died there, July 11, 1872. He was admitted to the bar in 1816. Among his works are: ‘Sertorius,’ a tragedy, (1830); ‘Love and Honor,’ a farce. He also wrote ‘The Forum, or Forty Years’ Full Practice at the Philadelphia Bar’ (1856).
