Torri Higginson - Cast - This Life

Canadian actress Torri Higginson is best known for her portrayal of Dr. Elizabeth Weir on the Sci Fi Channel series Stargate Atlantis and her Gemini Award-winning role of Katherine on CTV’s The City.
Born in Burlington, Ontario of Welsh background, Higginson was trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Her career has spanned all drama genres, and her love for theatre continues with appearances in theatres across Canada, including Toronto’s Soulpepper Theatre, the National Arts Centre, Manitoba Theatre Centre (MTC), Factory Theatre and recently playing Beatrice in A Noise Within’s production of Much Ado About Nothing in Los Angeles. Higginson’s latest theatre work was the one woman play The List which performed in Toronto and Montreal. Her next foray into theatre will be opposite Paul Gross and Martha Burns in Domesticated at Canadian Stage.
In recent years Higginson has divided her time between Canada, acting in shows such as The Cult, Dark Matter (recurring) and One Drop, and Los Angeles where she has seen continuing success in many guest starring roles on such television series as NCIS, Criminal Minds and Chase. Higginson fondly holds gratitude for having played a small role in the magnificent feature film The English Patient.
Torri will be seen next in the feature History of Love (2016) directed by Radu Mihaileanu.
