Has reality set in for Ashlee Simpson and singer Ryan Cabrera?
The New York Post says the lovebirds, recently featured on MTV’s “The Ashlee Simpson Show” and in Us Weekly, have broken up because their busy schedules will keep them apart for the near future.
Both are touring and promoting, with Cabrera opening for Jessica Simpson to promote his debut album, which drops Tuesday. Ashlee’s rep didn’t return the Post’s phone calls to comment about rumors of a split.
If it’s true, the breakup seems pretty sudden. “He’s my best friend in the whole world,” Us Weekly quoted Simpson as saying of Cabrera last week.
