Visual Guide
This visual guide is designed to help you find your way around DCA and give you an idea of what you can find on each level of the building.

Getting around DCA

- Our reception/box office desk is at a suitable height for wheelchair users
- Guide dogs and support dogs are welcome
- Our lift has voice announcement and tactile buttons
- Contrasting colour has been used throughout the building to assist those with visual impairment
- A wheelchair is available to use: just ask a member of staff
- There is level or lift access to all public areas of the building. If you wish to use the lift at our Greenmarket entrance to enter DCA and the doors are closed, please use the buzzer to request access and our team will be happy to help.

Toilet Facilities
- One accessible unisex toilet is located close to the galleries on the ground floor, with emergency pull cord
- One accessible unisex toilet is located close to the cinema entrance on the lower ground floor, with emergency pull cord
- Our Print Studio has accessible toilet facilities
- Free period products are available from dispensers located outside the accessible toilet on the ground floor and inside the toilets on the lower ground floor.

Galleries
- Our galleries are accessible by lift from the Greenmarket entrance to the building and there is level access to our galleries from the Nethergate entrance
- Printed gallery notes are provided in large print at the entrance to each gallery.
- You can find an audio recordings of our exhibition notes on our Soundcloud and via Bloomberg Connects.
- Folding stools are available to take into the galleries.
Cinema
- Accessible screenings including relaxed screenings, captioned screenings and audio described screenings
- Headphones for audio description on selected screenings are available on request
- Cinema screenings with closed captions are indicated by a C next to the showtime
- The cinemas are fully ramped with wheelchair areas and removable seats. If you would like to make use of the removable seats, please contact our Box Office team on 01382 213 610
- Wheelchairs are also available on request (please let us know your requirements in advance).
Seat Size Information
- Our seats in Cinema 1 and Cinema 2 have a depth of 46cm and a width of 39cm.
- The armrests on our cinema seats are not moveable, and the seats are fixed.
- Our cinema seats do not have a stated weight limit.
- The space between rows in Cinema 1 vary between 50cm to 71cm (with the seat up) depending on row. The most spacious are rows G & H, which have a space between rows of 71cm.
- The space between rows in Cinema 2 is 58cm with the seat up.
- The space between the seat and barrier in wheelchair bay is 38cm with the seat up.

Print Studio
- The Print Studio is located on the lower ground floor and is accessible by lift or via a flight of stairs, with handrail
- The Print Studio is laid out with wide access routes to facilitate wheelchair manoeuvrability and ease for use by people with mobility impairment
- The Print Studio also has accessible toilet facilities.

Tickets
- In our Cinema, we offer concession tickets for over 60s, students and under 21s and claimants (including (Jobseekers Allowance, Adult Disability Payment, Housing Benefit). Details of concession prices can be found on each film page. Please bring proof of your status to DCA when purchasing or picking up concession tickets.
- In our Print Studio, we offer concession tickets for our workshops and classes for over 60s, students, claimants (including (Jobseekers Allowance, Adult Disability Payment, Housing Benefit). Details of concession prices can be found on each workshop page. Please bring proof of your status to DCA when purchasing or picking up concession tickets.
- We also offer concession prices for Print Studio Registration to over 60s and students/claimants. Details of these can be found in our Print Studio Guide below. Please bring proof of your status to DCA when signing up to be a Print Studio Registered User.

Personal Assistant Tickets
- For all cinema screenings and workshops, carers with a CEA card are eligible for a free accompanying Personal Assistant ticket. For workshops, this is to assist the primary booker and doesn't include tuition time or materials.
- CEA cards are free to apply for - find out more here. These are primarily designed for use in cinemas, but we also accept them for access to classes and workshops.
- As the primary booker, please make your first booking of a free Personal Assistant ticket at Box Office and show your CEA card. We can then update your account to allow you to access these free tickets online for any future bookings.

Jute Café Bar
- Jute Café Bar is accessible by lift or via a flight of stairs, with handrail
Contact Scotland BSL
- Our box office team use Contact Scotland BSL, allowing d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing customers to make contact with us by calling an online sign language interpreter who will relay the call.

Parents and Babies
- Baby changing facilities (including supplies of nappies and baby wipes) and a feeding room are located on the ground floor
- Baby changing facilities are provided in the accessible toilet located on the lower ground floor
- Our free Create Space has comfy sofas, art materials and books for you to enjoy with your baby or child
- We are happy to warm up bottles for you
- High chairs and a kids' menu are available in Jute Café Bar
