    : Cantata in times of war

    Jörg Widmann's new work »Cantata in tempore belli« is all about peace. The Philharmonic State Orchestra, a choir from Ukraine, Jens Harzer and Kent Nagano will perform the world premiere.

    : Nuria Rial sings Monteverdi & Palestrina

    A celebration of early music: accompanied by the Cornets Noirs, soprano Nuria Rial, who is internationally acclaimed for her clear yet soft tone, sings of the secular beauty in the sacred music of Monteverdi, Palestrina and others.

    : Elbphilharmonie Visions: NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover

    In this concert as part of the Festival of 21st Century Music, the orchestra undergoes a transformation in sound. With a »Tour de Trance«, the audience then enters post-apocalyptic spheres.

    : Michel Camilo & Symphoniker Hamburg

    The Dominican composer and pianist Michel Camilo, who has already been honoured with Grammy and Emmy awards, moves between jazz, classical, pop and world music. With the Symphoniker Hamburg, he presents his energetic piano concerto.

    : Julius Asal / Piano Recital

    A recording contract with Deutsche Grammophon and a nomination as a BBC Young Generation Artist: pianist Julius Asal is standing on two career springboards at the same time. As on his first album, he plays Scarlatti and Scriabin, as well as Brahms.

    : Elbphilharmonie Visions: ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien

    This evening at the festival for 21st century music will be particularly versatile: with soloist Vanessa Porter, the sound builds up from nothing, followed by a filigree piece and finally a heavy metal-inspired piece.

    : Gewandhausorchester Leipzig / Andris Nelsons

    Andris Nelsons is chief conductor of two top orchestras, one of which is the traditional Leipzig Gewandhausorchester. With star soprano Christiane Karg, they play Mahler's Fourth Symphony – poetic to humorous songs, magnificently orchestrated.

    : La Force / Reflektor Sophie Hunger

    At the invitation of pop icon Sophie Hunger, Canadian singer-songwriter Ariel Engle, aka La Force, is a guest with her solo project La Force. A great voice, inspired lyrics and synth-pop, folk and R&B come together on »XO Skeleton«.

    : Amadeus, Amadeus

    For an entire week, an illustrious line-up of artists honours the gigantic oeuvre of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Jordi Savall comes with the Great Mass in C minor, Mitsuko Uchida with a piano concerto and René Jacobs conducts the opera »Idomeneo«.

    : Elbphilharmonie Visions

    This splendid festival celebrating new music is entering its second round. Over the course of seven concerts, festival initiator Alan Gilbert and the outstanding radio orchestras perform 21st century music spanning the entire stylistic spectrum.

    : Reflektor Sophie Hunger

    Sophie Hunger enchants the Elbphilharmonie with musical companions for an entire weekend. At her »Reflektor« festival, Dino Brandão, Soap&Skin, Erik Truffaz, the Metropole Orkest and, of course, herself will be performing.
