Flamenco weer live te genieten
Langzaam maar heel zeker komen de live events en workshops weer op gang. Zo kan je deze week naar El Pub Flamenco in Den Haag en zondag naar de eerste editie van de nieuwe concertserie ‘Flamenco Festival Rotterdam presenteert’ in Rotterdam. Festival de Jerez 2021: bridging the distance
Festival de Jerez is the annual feast of flamenco for aficionados across the globe. How were we to know that last years edition that wrapped up on the 7th of March 2020, marked the end of an era? Thankfully the organization had the courage to set up a festival in these uncertain times. Online flamenco beats lock-down – Yota Baron
INVITAD@ – YOTA BARON – Flamenco teacher, singer and event organizer Yota Baron lives in Amsterdam. When she flew to her native Greece to visit her son the beginning of March 2020, she packed light. Never could she imagine this short trip would turn into such a long stay. Locked-down far away from where she operates she remembered the power of improvisation and built an online platform for enjoying and making flamenco from home: iamflamenco. Review: Daniel García Diego Trio
REVIEW – On Sunday evening, the live stream of the Flamenco Biënnale NL brought the second concert of the double bill ‘The Art of the Jazz Flamenco Trio’ to our homes through live streaming video and again there was no end to the delights. Although my flamenco friends said with some disappointment that they had looked for flamenco in vain.
Review: Trio Caminero Cafe Berlin
REVIEW – Flamenco Biënnale Nederland opened yesterday with the first part of a Double Bill streamed live from the famous Café Berlin in Madrid. Trio Caminero showcased their adaptation for double bass of the greatest pieces most famous solo pieces for guitar by the great masters. New: Magazine Flamenco Divino
Flamenco Divino is the first flamenco magazine that truly gives credit to the international character of this global art. It is trilingual (German, English and Spanish) and has stories by experts, aficionados and artists. The editorial team is headed by Susanne Zellinger, former Editor-In-Chief of the German magazine ‘Anda’ and a well-known presenter at the big flamenco festivals.
