The Lords of Destiny makes me think of the Fifth Doctor—possibly the Eleventh Doctor, too. It's about a World Ship traversing the void between galaxies. At 48-pages, the adventure itself is just 10-pages. I reckon I could condense it to 3 or 4.

Played to the hilt—drawing on the other 30-pages of characters, exposition, reference, and inferences—you could roll out something epic. You might run this with the Ninth Doctor, Rose and Captain Jack. I think that would work well. Root out the core idea and then improvise.

As with all role playing materials—adopt, adapt and improve. I think you could get a solid game out of this with the current Vortex system driven iteration of the Doctor Who RPG.

THREE stars for the concept and core material, but you have a fair amount of prep work to do if you want to run the game. The potential for something satisfying might justify tracking this book down on the secondary market, providing you don't spend silly money on it.

The Doctor Who Role-Playing Game by FASA is not great. That said, this adventure and others are Amazing. They allow for some great gleaning for story ideas. The risk, difficulty and consequences of The Lords of Destiny, in particular, are memorable and useful.
