For years I've been saying that Jane Eyre is my favorite novel of all time--
and that it is. The character of Jane is, to me, one of the most admirable and appealing fictional characters of all time. Poor and plain she may be, but her spirit is indomitable.

To me, Jane Eyre is nearly the perfect novel -- were it not for the convenient introduction of the cousins in the end, it would be.

I love it too and I particularly like the sections of the book that deal with the child Jane, they are so good and really capture the feel of a lonely child.
Gotta be 5* and more. Pure classic
Brainless and ornamental sounds better than barefoot and pregnant. Notice I only say that out of your arm's reach least I get a fist in the nose. By the way I did read it too and I thought you gave a nice review.
