The two quarters around Schanzenstraße and Schulterblatt are always in motion. It's colorful, it's wafting and in the last few years it's become more chic around the Piazza. And yet the district has retained much of its rough, left-alternative non-conformity. Especially in the Marktstraße in the Karoviertel there are a lot of special shops beyond the mainstream.
