ABC has handed out pilot orders to two dramas: “Dirty Sexy Money” and “Judy’s Got a Gun.”
“Dirty,” also known as “The Darlings,” comes from “Six Feet Under” writer Craig Wright and producers Greg Berlanti and Bryan Singer.
Described as “Six Feet Under” meets “Dynasty,” the project centers on Nick George, an idealistic lawyer who inherits the job of tending to the legal (and sometimes illegal) needs of one of the wealthiest, most colorful families in New York.
Touchstone TV produces the pilot with studio-based Berlanti Television. Wright penned the script and is executive producing with Berlanti and Singer.
Singer is executive producing “Dirty” as well as another ABC/ Touchstone pilot, “Football Wives,” through the feature helmer’s deal with the network.
Under the agreement, he will direct the “Wives” pilot.
“Gun,” also from Touchstone TV, is a procedural drama about Judy Lemen, a detective who struggles to balance her personal life as a single mother with her job investigating the unusual crimes that take place in suburbia.
Robert King and Michelle King penned the script and are executive producing with Stu Bloomberg. The trio also executive produced the ABC/Touchstone 2006 midseason drama “In Justice.”
