Seann William Scott: 'I Never Thought I Was Going To Get Engaged"

Seann William Scott may play a partying playboy in the 90's teen movie classic "American Pie," but when it comes to his life off-screen, the 35-year-old actor is ready to settle down.

Scott, who recently announced his engagement to girlfriend and former Victoria's Secret model Lindsay Frimodt, stopped by "Conan" on Wednesday night to talk about his Valentine's Day marriage proposal.

"I was thinking about [proposing] for the longest time. I don't know anything about this engagement stuff," said the actor, who stars in "American Reunion," in theaters Friday. "I never thought I was going to get engaged."

But despite all of that, Scott decided to pop the question -- and he planned it on Valentine's Day. "I thought it would romantic," he said. "But then I also thought, "I could be that guy, that cheesy guy."

According to Scott, it was a fairly simple proposal, just dinner and live music. The actor confirmed his engagement to Frimodt at the Los Angeles premiere of "American Reunion" in March.
