George Segal (1934-2021) was an American actor known for his comedic roles in such films as Fun with Dick and Jane (1977) as well as more serious roles in such films as The St. Valentine's Day Massacre and The Bridge at Remagen. In more recent years, he was known to television audiences for his roles as Jack Gallo in the NBC sitcom Just Shoot Me and as Albert “Pops” Solomon in the ABC sitcom The Goldbergs. He passed away on March 23, 2021 at the age of 87.
