English psych-rock outfit Temples shared the title track to their newly announced third album, Hot Motion. The group also revealed their 2019 tour plans including an extensive run through North America in the fall.
Hot Motion is due out on September 27 via ATO Records. The follow-up to 2017’s Volcano was recorded in a home studio set up on the property of vocalist James Bagshaw, located in the English midlands.
“It felt like there was a darker edge to what we were coming up with and we wanted to make sure that carried through the whole record,” bassist Thomas Walmsley stated. “It’s not a ten track, relentless rock record from start to finish, it’s got a lot of light and shade and more tender moments, but that heavier, darker sound is something we wanted to explore further.”

Temples will hit a number of festivals throughout Europe this summer before kicking off their North American tour in the fall beginning with a slot at Desert Daze Festival in Perris, California being held October 11 – 13. The trio closes out their U.S. dates with a concert in Philadelphia on November 10 before returning to their native U.K. for the rest of 2019.
