David Soriano is a Spanish artist of Disney comics, affiliated with Studio Comicup in Barcelona.

Early life
David Soriano was born in 1994 in Barcelona. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Barcelona, he studied Graphic Arts and Comics at the Escola Joso. Among his teachers there were the comic creators Pasqual Ferry, Jordi Sempere, Roger Ibáñez, Santi Casas and Oriol Garcia Quera, whom he also ranks among his main inspirations. Later on, as a professional, he had great influence from his Comicup colleagues Ángel Rodríguez and Tony Fernández. David Soriano's favorite comics are 'Lupus' by Frederik Peeters, 'Isaac the Pirate' by Christophe Blain, 'The Rabbi's Cat' by Joann Sfar, 'Portugal' by Cyril Pedrosa and 'Le Voyage' by Edmond Baudoin.

Disney comics
Soriano had his first professional experience working on some educational comics and doing editorial illustration work. In the fall of 2019, he joined Studio Comicup in Barcelona, where a large part of the European Disney comics are drawn. Starting as an inker, he gradually shifted towards pencil art. Since 2020, he has been mainly assigned to drawing stories for the Dutch Disney magazines by DPG Media. For his training, he was paired with longtime Comicup artist Ángel Rodriguez, who helped him finetune his pencil art. Either alone or in tandem in Rodriguez, Soriano has drawn stories with a variety of Disney characters; besides Donald and the other Duck characters also the Big Bad Wolf, Chip 'n' Dale, Jose Carioca, Scamp, The Lion King, 101 Dalmatians and Bambi.
