  • ️Fri Feb 21 2025

The Tewksbury Cultural Council is accepting new members. Residents should apply online to be considered by the Town Board of Selectmen. Please follow this link to the New Citizen Activity Form: https://tewksburymaboards.vt-s.net/newcaf.php

Our local council generally meets in November to consider applications for grant funding from the allocation made to the town by Mass Cultural Council. The meeting is public and posted on the town website calendar. Applicants and the interested public are encouraged to attend.

Priorities for this council are based on a mission to serve a broad and diverse audience of residents, serving all age groups with public access to various cultural programs as presented by our applicants.

FY25 Local Priorities

The local Tewksbury Cultural Council will review the applications in a public meeting in Tewksbury, with the date to be posted on the town website. We encourage applicants to attend. We review applications with a priority toward benefiting our local community. Therefore, if you are an applicant from outside our local community, your application will carry substantially more preference if you arrange approval and agreement of a venue with one of our local host organizations in advance, and include a letter from the local host.

We also encourage new cultural programming and prioritize new grant requests over annual applications looking for continued or sustained funding.

FY25 Local Guidelines

The following guidelines must be met PRIOR to submitting a Grant Application to the Tewksbury Cultural Council:
1. All performances/services must be pre-arranged, and the location noted on the application.
2. All performances/services must benefit Tewksbury residents.
3. All deadlines must be adhered to, including reimbursement or extension requests.
