FINAL DEMONSTRATION IN ABU DHABI
The 5 finalist teams were in Abu Dhabi from 11th of January till 6th of February 2024, to prepare and perform in the MBZIRC Maritime Grand Challenge demonstrations. ASPIRE provided a world class infrastructure for teams to integrate and test their systems for 2 weeks before the final runs.
Each of the finalist teams was given 3 chances to complete the inspection and the intervention tasks required by the challenge. Out of the 5 finalist teams, 3 teams managed to complete the inspection task and inched closer to the intervention task.
Even though there were no winners in the competition, ASPIRE would like to recognize the teams for their best performance:

The challenge concluded on the 6th of February 2024, in a grand Gala Dinner celebrating the best performing teams and the extraordinary journey of the 5 finalist teams.
In just two years, MBZIRC has activated innovation across the globe and has bridged the gap between robotics lab potential and real- world application.
