What makes KH 2.8HD enjoyable more than most would expect is how it properly comes full circle with the story. Playing 1.5 and 2.5 leaves many questions that don't get answered until KH3D. This may come as a bit of a shock considering KH3D was a 3DS exclusive prior. Because of that, some fans haven't fully experienced what's out there for Sora and Riku's journey leading up to KH3. As a fan, this was a great way to start the New Year. As a gamer, watching a series like Kingdom Hearts evolve into what's included in this release is what we could hope for in other franchises.
Holding two entirely-knew Kingdom Hearts experiences and a criminally underplayed title in the franchise, Final Chapter Prologue is a collection that every likely Kingdom Hearts III player should experience.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is a package that has an HD version of the Nintendo 3DS game "Dream Drop Distance", a little story for one of the characters which is like a demo for Kingdom Hearts 3 and an 1 hour movie which dives deeper in the lore of the franchise. The HD version of Dream Drop Distance is very well made. Storywise, it is a bridge game between Kingdom Hearts 2 and 3 which sets up the eventy for Kingdom Hearts 3. It is also a relatively long game where the main story is like 25-30 hours and also has some side content to explore. All in all I think it is a good package to enjoy before playing Kingdom Hearts 3. Since the games are older though, I don't think it is worth full price, but this is really subjective. I think right now it's worth like 20-30 Dollars.
i cant express enough the love i have for all the charecters and story of this saga. loves DDD HD and 0.2 cant wait for the next saga witht he foretellers and master of masters....... LOVE KINGDOM HEARTS ALL DAY EVERY **** DAYYY
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 features three solid entries into the Kingdom Hearts series and, while there’s plenty of setup for the future, what’s here is mostly fantastic. Back Cover might be the weak point of this collection, but even that is worth checking out if you’re really into the crazy lore in this series. Simply put, Kingdom Hearts in 60FPS is wonderful and the little taste of Kingdom Hearts 3 is even better than I had hoped.
Of all of the HD remastered packs of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, 2.8 is probably the one with the least gameplay hours, but the one that fans will want to have the most, because of the innovative Birt By Sleep 0.2. This A Fragmentary Passage is 3 hours long and is more a visual and gameplay prelude of what we'll have in KH3.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 The Final Chapter Prologue is an atypical collection: on one hand able to enchant with Dream Drop Distance, for gameplay and for the graphics, but on the other hand it doesn't impress with Birth by Sleep 0.2. The Back Cover film, then, doesn't transmit great feelings.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue may be saddled with a ridiculous title, but the package offers plenty to enjoy. It may not be the most welcoming of games, thanks to Kingdom Hearts being amongst the worst offenders for convoluted narratives, but the HD remaster of Dream Drop Distance combined with a glimpse of what is to come for the franchise makes this more or less essential for fans.
This is the most disappointed that I’ve been with Square Enix for quite some time.
DDD has one of the arguably best combat in the franchise and the X back cover gave some insight to the fore tellers but it didn't show enough in my opinion but just the basics and gave a kind of demo for KH 3 with fragmentary passage
0.2 should have been the prologue to KH3 when booting up the game. Dream Drop HD is a nice thing to have happened, although this game being full price at the time of release was pretty unreasonable. Especially since it is still full price on any platform other than PS4.
It's money for a demo and Nintendo 3dS game that is complete 4 out of 10 , Let's start with the good Aqua journey through Darkness , It's good it's a good teaser for Kingdom Hearts 3 is it worth money,,, no . Kingdom Hearts dream Drop Distance is a game where you have to play an awkward dog game pet Simulator to get all the combat abilities And the music for the pet parts is some horrible children's tune , And just like Birth by Sleep you can completely trivialize the game by just using the Certain abilities in dream Drop Distance spell balloons. don't waste your money just go direct to Kingdom Hearts 3 and never look back
