While admittedly ragged and ribald, it's a picture with an innate charm and honesty that should win over audiences.

Snootchie bootchies. I love this film. I mean, I actually drink my Dew out of a Dixie cup now that I've watched it. And every time I watch it, it never got old. I like how its jokes don't get in the way of the story, and the character of Brodie Bruce (played by Jason Lee) made me laugh my ass off with every one of his lines. Overall, this movie may be underrated, but I say you should check it out. (PS: The only problem? The marketing)

This movie is such a classic everything in this movie is just great jay and silent bob, Brodie, the poo pretzel, and Stan Lee just to name a few. This movie has comedy and heart coming out of the wazoo this is the perfect mix of so many things into a big bowl of awesome.

Mallrats mixes clever bits and an appealing quirkiness (which goes a long way) with gross-out practical jokes, needless repetition and obvious padding, since it has no real plot.

I'm guessing even die-hard "Clerks" fans will find this only-in-America stuff only partially satisfying, like something they gorged on at the Eatery, then wished they hadn't.

Smith brazenly ignores plot conventions and concentrates on an apparently endless stream of crude and occasionally clever one-liners.

Talky, crude and sexist, Mallrats is significantly less funny, a flatulent sequel to the director's small start.

A numbing and dispiriting experience aimed at the least discriminating parts of the teen-age audience.

Mallrats is one of the best comedy films of all time. The film is timeless. After 20 years the film hits just as hard as it did in 1995. The characters are excellent, its hard not to love them. Jason Lee showed so much potential in this movie and really didn't go far with it other than being on My Name is Earl for a few years. Jay and Silent Bob are probably funnier in this movie than in Clerks. Plus this film has one of the most famous cameos in the history of film. Kevin Smith really shows off his talents in this film, and shows that he is one of the best comedy filmmakers.

I absolutely loved this movie. There is so much wrong with it, but you know what? I don't care. The humor, the pop cultural references, the lifestyle. This movie represents my teenage year perfectly (just in grander and more humorous way.) Overall: I get the hate this movie gets. Kevin Smith is better than this, but I love it as it spoke to me and I understood every twisted scene with perfect clarity.

tiene buenos momentos, desnudos, uno que otro chiste, y el cameo de stan lee, pero decepcionante

Mallrats is funny, but overall forgettable, save for two memorable quotes ("Would you like a chocolate covered pretzel?" and "Like the back of a Volkswagen?"). I seem to recall enjoying it, but I can't seem to pick out what I enjoyed about it. Still, it's worth a watch if you're into View Askewniverse.

After watching other Kevin Smith films I expected this to be good. I was unfortunately quite wrong. This makes ''Clerks'' which was merely a pretty good film seem like some kind of masterpiece. Hard to believe how bad a film could be made by smith, guess he just had an off year.
