Graduated from Bishop Kelly High School (Tulsa, OK), the same school attended by 2015 American League Cy Young Award winner Dallas Keuchel...in 2021 they were teammates with the White Sox... played at the University of Arkansas and helped lead the Razorbacks to the 2012 College World Series...as a junior was a first-team All-SEC selection and was named to the Collegiate Baseball All-America third team.

2022

On 4/24 was claimed off waivers from the Mets... From 8/23-9/8 missed 17 days and 15 games while on the 10-day injured list with left hip pain... Made 29 starts at 2B, 19 starts at SS, six starts at 3B, six starts at 1B, five starts in RF and two starts in LF (8/1 at Mia, 10/1 at Cubs)... Also made apps at CF (1g, 5/20 at Tor) and pitcher (2g, 5/4 at Mil, 5/24 vs Cubs)... On 8/1 at Mia made the first of his two starts in LF, when Tommy Pham was scratched from the lineup right before game time after he was traded to the Red Sox... On 8/17 vs Phi made his only career start batting cleanup... Played in three games with Kansas City but spent most of the season at the Royals alternate training site.

2019

Spent the entire year with Fresno (AAA), in the Washington Nationals' organization, appearing in 111 games…ranked 10th in the Pacific   Coast League in walks (64) and on-base percentage (.401)...Named an Organization All-Star by MiLB.com for the second time in his career...Played seven different positions during the year, appearing in games at pitcher (2), second base (30), third base (3), shortstop (35),   left field (8), center field (26) and right field (11)...His pitching appearances, May 31 vs. Salt Lake and June 23 at Salt Lake, were the first   two of his professional career…did not allow a run in his first appearance, before being touched up for two runs on three hits in his second outing...Batted .354/.446/.671 (28-for-79) with six doubles, two triples, five homers and 13 RBI during the month of June…that included a season-best nine-game hitting streak (June 1424), in which he batted .531 (17-for-32) with four doubles, four homers and nine RBI...Established a career-high with five hits on June 23 at Salt Lake, going 5-for-6 with two doubles and a solo  homer…his 10 total bases in the game also set a career-best. Signed by the Royals as a minor league free agent on November 16, 2019.

2018

Acquired by the Nationals on Feb. 12, from the Mets for cash considerations...Had two stints with Washington, April 7-23 and July 26-31… made 11 appearances off the bench and one start at third base...Batted .270 (85-for-315) with four homers and 42 walks (.361 OBP) combined between Syracuse (AAA) and Auburn (A)…tied for third in the International League with a team-high 31 doubles and also led the club in slugging percentage (.424).

2017

Enjoyed four stints with the Mets...Played in a career-high 68 games...Also set career-bests in hits and runs scored...Appeared in 23 games at third base, 10 at shortstop, eight at second base, seven in leftfield, three at first base and one game in right field...Hit .320 with nine doubles, four homers, 14 RBI and 27 runs scored in 33 games for the 51s...In 13 games for Triple-A Las Vegas in August, he hit .346 (18-for-52) with five doubles, four RBI, 10 runs scored and a .433 on-base percentage.

2016

Underwent a right wrist debridement on December 12 at the Hospital for Special Surgery...Began the season with Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League and had four stints with the Mets (May 17-29, June 3-July 5, August 1-13 and September 5-end of season)...All three of his career home runs in the major leagues have given the Mets the lead...His first career homer gave the Mets the lead on June 22 vs. Kansas City... His second was a go-ahead home run on August 1 vs. the Yankees and his third came on September 5 at Cincinnati...Made his major league debut on May 17 vs. Washington starting at third base...Grabbed his first major league hit on May 25 at Washington (off Tanner Roark)...Connected on his first major league home run on June 22 vs. Kansas City...Was a solo shot in the sixth inning that put the Mets ahead, 4-3...Gave the Mets the lead on June 4 at Miami with a pinch-hit RBI single in the eighth inning off David Phelps...Was his first career RBI...Had the go-ahead RBI fielder's choice in the 11th inning on June 10 at Milwaukee...Recorded his first career multi-hit and multi-RBI game on June 15 vs. Pittsburgh...The three hits and two RBI were both career highs...Played 18 games in June and batted .296 (8-27) with four doubles, one home run and six RBI...Matched a season/career high with his three hits on September 5 at Cincinnati...One of the three hits was his third career homer, a solo shot in the second inning off Robert Stephenson.
