heARTwork: Ramadan Recipes
heARTwork Ramadan Recipes is back! At our heARTwork events we create opportunities for women to build sisterhood through creative activities! Muslim women in our sisterhood come from so many different backgrounds and this evening will be an opportunity to connect with our joyful community of faith.


Suhoor on the Beach
Let's head to the beach to eat, pray, and build sisterhood! And increase our connection between Muslim women, and reflect on the beauty of The Magnificent Allah's creation.

Women's Qiyam Gathering
The blessed nights of Laylat-ul-Qadr are almost upon us. The MWO is hosting our fourth annual Women's Qiyam Gathering. We are continuing that tradition and joining in collective prayer, dhikr and dua led by local women. We will begin at 11:30pm. We will be providing tea, coffee and some refreshments and ask that you bring a snack item to share.

Journeys Connections: Sister's Social Iftar Potluck
Journeys with Amany: Convert Connection is a spiritual gathering space and one of our Sisterhood Initiatives. Our goal to provide a space for Muslim women who have accepted Islam (at any place in their spiritual and religious journey) can connect with one another, feel seen, heard, and not judged while they discuss topics that are important to them as they navigate their journeys into the faith community.

Journeys with Amany: Convert Connection is a spiritual gathering space and one of our Sisterhood Initiatives. Our goal to provide a space for Muslim women who have accepted Islam (at any place in their spiritual and religious journey) can connect with one another, feel seen, heard, and not judged while they discuss topics that are important to them as they navigate their journeys into the faith community.



Tea Time + Tatreez
Hosted on the third Sunday afternoon of each month. Tea Time is a space to connect, reflect, and reframe. Tea Time provides opportunities for Muslim women to get things off of their chests and discuss current events in the world, society, community, and their own lives while participating in some calming creative activities like embroidery.

Literary Society
This month we'll explore Black Muslim women in movements. Muslim women have long been the backbone of the development of Islam, including Islamic thoughts, practices, and movements. Join us in person at the HUB or online for a film screening and then to discuss current movements that Muslim women are leading.

Let's connect for an afternoon of growing our networks and learning from one another. Get to know other professionals in the community, share your experiences and get insights about topics of interest to you as a professional Muslim woman. Space is limited and registration is required.

Program for spiritual growth, or to become a spiritual-care provider, Hakima (Wise Woman) to serve your family and/or community

heARTwork: Piece by Piece, Creating Your Holy Moment
Using your blank puzzle set, create a drawing that reflects a meaningful experience visiting a holy site or what you imagine your first visit to Umrah or Hajj will feel like. Think about the serenity of the sacred spaces, the unity of people from all over the world, and the spiritual connection you might experience.

Women's Health Matters: Alzheimers & Dementia- Elder Care
Our Women's Health Matters series on taking charge of our health continues in January. The upcoming session will focus on raising awareness about Alzheimer's and Dementia in the context of elder care, featuring a live online discussion about symptoms, treatments, and prevention.

Women's Health Matters: Stress, Gut Health and Immunity
Our Women's Health Matters series about taking control of our health continues in November, Diabetes Awareness Month. We will be discussing the relationship between nutrition and diabetes and what we can do to stay healthy and prevent or limit the impact of diabetes.



GEMS Gala 2024: The Power of Us
Genuinely Empowered Muslim Sisters (GEMS), and the men who stand with us, are invited to join us for a powerful evening at the Orlando Science Center Rooftop Terrace to support the HUB expansion and community-building programs of the Muslim Women’s Organization.




Journeys: Friendsgiving Potluck
Join us for a Journeys Friendsgiving Potluck! As the holidays arrive, many converts feel alone in this time. What better way than to meet with other sisters and a enjoy a meal together. We will gather at a friend’s home in the Windermere area, share our meal and conversation, and end with praying Maghrib Salah together.
