REVIEWS

Review by Julie Fan (posted on 17-May-2010)

Edward Arnold was exceptional, as always, as the blind detective, and Mantan Moreland and Allen Jenkins injected just enough humor to keep this film from being stuffy; however, the actor who stole the show was the German Shepherd who played Friday. His owner/trainer should have been applauded because the dog's timing was impeccable. At times one forgot that he was an animal actor and not human. One of the best scenes is where he rescues Mantan Moreland and Allen Jenkins. I like this film so much that I purchased it, and I wish that there had been a series of films made with this blind detective.
