Three-part television adaptation of Frank Herbert's novel of the same name details the epic story of "spice"-centered political maneuvering and conflict in the Galactic Empire.
ABSTRACT
Adapted from Frank Herbert's oft-emulated opus of the same name for American television's Sci-Fi Channel, Dune is the epic story of maneuvering and conflict centered around the exceptionally rare mind-expanding material called "spice" in the Galactic Empire brought to the small screen. Intended as a faithful adaptation of Herbert's work, Dune more or less stuck to its origins save for several small alterations described as "clarifications" of select passages of book text by director John Harrison.
