ABSTRACT
Mike Enslin makes his trade as a full-time skeptic, fashioning a career out of authoring best-selling books debunking ostensibly supernatural "mysteries" plaguing a host of places around the world. Traveling from his home in Los Angeles to New York City to check in at the Dolphin Hotel's "evil" room 1408 as part of his latest book, Mike gets his desired stay after threatening legal action against a fearful manager all too willing to relate tales of deaths connected to the room, soon finding his cynical hubris coming to a head when he becomes party to a host of terrifying happenings promising to shake his lack of faith in the unexplainable to its very core.
