ABSTRACT
Larry Valentine, Brooklyn firefighter and grieving widower, runs into trouble changing the beneficiary on his life insurance policy from late wife Paula to his surviving offspring. Told by heterosexual friend and co-worker Chuck Levine that he is "owed one" after saving his buddy's life during a call, an enterprising Larry takes him up on his offer, hatching a scheme for the pair to pose as a gay couple to exploit domestic partner benefits offered by the state of New York.
