ABSTRACT
Remake of The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974). Somehow, in post-9/11 New York City, a gang of armed-to-the-teeth terrorists commandeer the 1:23 subway train going from Pelham Bay Park station to Manhattan, taking the passengers on board hostage. John Travolta as Ryder goes head to head with Denzel Washington as train dispatcher Walter, who must negotiate for the safe release of the hostages before the terrorists begin killing them one by one. An all-star cast anchored by Travolta and Washington also includes John Turturro and the late James Gandolfini.
