Physicist Andre Delambre invents a teleportation device, and after some initial successes teleports himself; he is initially unaware a housefly made the trip with him and their genetic structures have been merged. What emerges is Delambre with the head and arm of a housefly. Received a Hugo nomination for Best Dramatic Presentation. Remade with Jeff Goldblum as The Fly (1986).
