ABSTRACT
Coraline, an introverted young girl neglected by her family, discovers a hidden door in their new house shortly after moving in. Crossing the passage found behind the door late at night to discover a bizarrely idealistic world mirroring her own where her family possess buttons for eyes and actually seem to care about her, Coraline ultimately must fight to return to the real world after her "friends" in this strange alternate reality make their sinister motives clear.
