Grand Piano
Director: Eugenio Mira
Writer: Damien Chazelle
A comeback-seeking pianist suffering from stage fright finds a disquieting message on his score in front of a large audience.
ABSTRACT
Tom Selznick, an esteemed grand pianist attempting a comeback from a performance gone horribly wrong years earlier, resurfaces in Chicago in the present day to put on a show intended to set his career back on the right track. Seated before a massive audience eager to hear him recapturing his old magic, Tom discovers a morbid note scrawled out on his score: "Play one wrong note and you die." Now Tom, placed at the mercy of a sniper out for blood and gripped by a lack of self-confidence surely lending itself to at least one sour note, must figure out what the assailant wants from him and alert the authorities without arousing the suspicions of a single theater patron.
