A fashion photographer in swinging-sixties London takes pictures of a couple in flagrante delicto at a public park. the woman notices and demands the film, but Thomas refuses. After developing the negatives, in the background it appears the camera has captured the aftermath of a violent crime. Received Oscar nominations for Best Director and Best Screenplay. Won the Palme d'Or at Cannes.
