Tracy Lord, ex-wife of jazz musician C. K. Dexter Haven, prepares for a marriage with the rather uninteresting George Kitteredge. A pair of reporters from Spy magazine are sent to cover the wedding; one of them, Mike Connor, falls for Tracy as well. Including Dexter, three suitors! Musical remake of The Philadelphia Story (1940). Received Oscar nominations for Best Original Song and Best Musical Score; an additional nomination for Best Original Story was rescinded when determined to be ineligible.
