Tod, an orphaned red fox kit, and Cooper, a hound puppy, become fast and carefree friends. But after both attain adulthood, their relationship must inevitably change as one is hunter, and the other prey. And on a hunt with Cooper's owner, Amos Slade, everyone's mettle is tested. Best Disney animated film in years; the studio could never make such a heartbreaking movie today.
