ABSTRACT
A wealthy French family's holiday gathering at their sprawling countryside estate is cut short when industrialist patriarch Marcel is mysteriously stabbed to death in his room. An old-fashioned murder mystery ensues, as eight women prominent in Marcel's life -- his domineering wife, aloof sister-in-law, and maid among them -- are fingered as suspects in the killing, each guarding secrets buried deep in their respective pasts.
