ABSTRACT
Reuben Feffer, a cautious newly-married man approaching middle age, finds his organized life falling into disarray when he discovers his wife cheating on him with a scuba instructor during their honeymoon. Back in his hometown shortly thereafter in a bid to set his life straight, Reuben strikes up a chance connection with old high school classmate Polly Prince, eager to let her spontaneous love into his life despite the obstacles his notoriously risk-averse behavior creates all along the way.
