ABSTRACT
Humanity as we know it teeters on the brink of extinction in the hellish 2020s, forced into hiding in various remote corners of the world after a brood of fire-breathing dragons emerged from the ground one disastrous day and subjugated all the other animals on our planet. One such human, a young man named Quinn traumatized ever since witnessing his mother's death protecting him from a dragon, receives an unlikely chance to avenge his beloved's demise when a band of Americans led by a rough-and-tumble fellow named Van Zam shows up claiming to know of a way to defeat the vicious beasts. Now, with Van Zam calling on him to join the resistance, Quinn must decide for himself whether a shot at glory with no guarantee of success is worth the rendezvous with his tortured past.
