REVIEWS
Review by Norman Krasna (posted on 3-Mar-2008)
It's a delightful story. While in Paris, an American Senator's engaged (to Francis Lederer) daughter (Olivia DeHaviland), bets one of her father's cronies (Adolph Menjou) that American Service men are honorable and above reproach. The idea of "over-paid, over-sex and over-here" is what she intends to prove is just a saying. Disguised as a French maniquin (model), she proceeds on her adventure. She's coached and chaperoned by none other than Myrna Loyd, who is .......... I forget .... but, oh yes, the "cronies" wife. The soldier in question is played by John Forsythe (ahh, handsome, sweet, young John Forsythe) and naturally he has a yen for the French Maniquin and he has a pal.... played by Tommy Noonan. His pal "somehow" becomes privy to the deception, and the plot thickens. It's a funny, romantic plot. I love it. Strickly for fun, laughs, and ... (((((( sighs ))))))).
