Thoroughly engrossing movie, want to find it on dvd to add to my Patton Collection. Also need to find A & E's Biography of Patton, "Patton, A genius for War" on dvd. I have these now on vhs. Today, August 26th, "War Stories" with Ollie North had an extensive program on Patton. His grand daughter, and grandsons Robert & James were part of the program. Particularly interest- ing was the parts devoted to his death. The accident was shown, as it might have happened, and it certainly looked as though the truck deliberately cut in front of Patton's Cadillac. Also, Patton was the ONLY one injured. I'm a student of history, and politics. I happen to be a member of GOP, I really wonder, Was he assassinated? IKE would have never made the White House had Patton retired in December 1945 & came home to U.S.A. Also, the Russians had him on a list, Stalin's hit list. All I can say is, my feelings about Eisenhower, Gen. Smith(Ike's Chief-Staff), and any other cronies, have turned to disgust. Thank you.
