Slaughterhouse-Five
Slaughterhouse-Five (15-Mar-1972)
Director: George Roy Hill
Writer: Stephen Geller
From novel: Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut
Keywords: Sci-Fi, Dark Comedy
Billy Pilgrim is stuck in time, having witnessed the firebombing of Dresden, incarceration as a prisoner-of-war, and abduction by aliens who transport him to Tralfamador. Disjointed. Certainly the best adaptation to cinema of any of Vonnegut's works, which tend to the unfilmable. Received the Hugo for Best Dramatic Presentation. Won also the Jury Prize at Cannes.
