Tracy Chapman

[1] General consensus is that Chapman is a lesbian. Her name is sometimes linked to Alice Walker, author of The Color Purple, and who is known to be bisexual. In the mid-1990s Chapman did lend $60,000 to Walker's daughter, Rebecca Walker, to help found the Kokobar Cafe in New York City. (New York Times, 8 June 1997.)
