He lived in New York City for many years and moved to Greenville 5 years ago. He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Greenville. Surviving are his wife, Irene Heffernan Stockton of Greenville, a son, Charles G. Stockton of Sarasota, Fla., a brother, Robert G. Stockton of Greenville and one grandson.
