Darlyn Pirakitikulr and Jonathan Jacob Heckman were married Saturday at the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago. Judge Richard A. Posner of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit officiated.

The couple, both 27, met in middle school at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools but did not begin dating until their senior year at Princeton, from which they both graduated, he summa cum laude.

Mrs. Heckman received a law degree from Boston University. In January she is to become an associate in the Boston office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, the New York law firm.

She is the daughter of Dr. Ungsana Ittemakin of Crown Point, Ind., and Pichai Pirakitikulr of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Her father is the dean of the faculty of pharmacy at Payap University in Chiang Mai. Her mother is an anesthesiologist and a partner of Anesthesiology Consultants of Indiana in Crown Point.

In September, Mr. Heckman will become a postdoctoral research fellow in physics at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, N.J. He received a master’s and doctorate degree in physics from Harvard.

He is the son of Lynne Pettler Heckman and James J. Heckman of Chicago. His father is a professor of economics at the University of Chicago. In 2000, he and Daniel L. McFadden shared the Nobel Prize in Economic Science for their work in econometrics and microeconomics.
