Community and curriculum development
The Sustainable Futures Curriculum Series offers workshops and webinars to showcase curricular approaches that advance the integration of sustainability into teaching and learning. Access to past recordings available.
The Sustainability Community of Practice invites organic discussion and resource-sharing that deepens our engagement with sustainability pedagogies and curriculum approaches across our programs. Open to all faculty, students, and staff.
Experiential Learning
Participate in on-campus experiential learning placements for academic credit! Students are placed with OCAD U departments to advance the Campus as a Living Lab.
Global Centre for Climate Action (GCCA)
The GCCA is a research centre at OCAD University that draws on creative vision, sustainable design, and artistic practice to imagine new approaches to sustainability, climate justice, and decolonization.
Sustainable Futures Faculty Fellowship (SF3)
The SF3 program supports faculty to pursue, document, and share their research findings on pedagogical approaches towards sustainability at the undergraduate level.
Sustainability Minor
Students who complete the Sustainability Minor will understand the scientific and ethical principles underpinning the contemporary issues of sustainability.
Sustainability Courses
A range of undergraduate programs offer sustainability-focused courses which have a primary and explicit focus on the interdependence of ecological and socioeconomic systems or a major sustainability challenge. Sustainability-focused courses are listed in the Course Catalogue under the ‘Sustainability’ filter.
