The supervillains of the DC Universe are the star of the next Lego action-adventure game. Lego DC Super-Villains will let players assume the role of their own custom DC villain and team up with the likes of The Joker, Lex Luthor and Harley Quinn later this year.

Even though you’re playing with some of DC’s baddest men and women in DC Lego Super-Villains, it sounds like you’re actually doing some good. Here’s the story setup, from publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s announcement:

In LEGO DC Super-Villains, the Justice League has disappeared, leaving Earth’s protection to a newcomer group of heroes from a parallel universe, proclaiming themselves as the ‘Justice Syndicate’. Renowned DC Super-Villains from the ‘Legion Of Doom’ discover Earth’s newest heroes may not be the heroes they claim to be.

Players will be able to make a “completely customizable” supervillain and team up with other baddies to “foil the evil plans the incognito strangers have in store.” During the campaign, players will unlock new abilities, powers and customization options for their custom villain.

The announcement for Lego DC Super-Villains reveals that classic DC villains like Lex Luthor’s Superman, Catwoman, The Riddler, Scarecrow, Cheetah, Solomon Grundy, Gorilla Grodd, Deathstroke and Darkseid will appear in the game.

Lego DC Super-Villains will be available Oct. 16, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. The game’s official announcement lends more credence to a recent retail leak from Walmart Canada that revealed the existence of some unannounced games.
