Exploding Whale Memorial Park.

Exploding Whale Park

The park does not tell much about its marine namesake, but is a nice place to relax and take in the scenery.

Exploding Whale Park

There is a nice sign by the road with a melancholy (pre-explosion) whale with the title "Exploding Whale Memorial Park." You can park your car and take a short walk to the river and there are a couple of signs with information about the tides, the local bridge, and the local flora.

There are a few benches and picnic tables that have a nice view of the river and sand dunes. We walked around for about ten minutes and found no other mention of the infamous whale.
