Todd Everett Variety Silverman and Slater are appealing protagonists, and it's amusing to watch the icy physicist melt as she begins to comprehend the plot and warm to nerdy-but-nice Thomas (aspects of this office bear a passing resemblance to Fox series Herman's Head). Ken K Every once in a while an ok borderline movie hits a nerve. Thhis is one of those for me. It is pedestrian but has real moments that make it worth it. Silverman does really OK and Slater is beautiful. There seems to be some real chemistry. The premise has just enough legs and interesting moments to make it worthwhile. Nowhere near the stature of Groundhog Day but I bought the DVD years ago. Free on You Tube. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/06/25 Full Review nick s The actors were a little too camera aware and the director felt compelled to make plot points overly obvious. Lacked subtlety, depth, originality and eye-candy. Overall not terrible but not one I'd recommend. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/30/24 Full Review aaron g Acting is mediocre throughout, lower B-grade sci-fi, no real special effects, ok not to watch again. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Fun, feel good movie. I like time loop movies. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member 12: 01 will probably shock the uninformed. It is Groundhog Day with different faces and plot. What's even more shocking is they were both released in the same year. One look at the wiki page of this movie confirms my suspicion that there was a legal tussle between the makers of this film and that one- It is shocking how similar the premise is. Having said that this is a decent enough film, if somewhat unremarkable. The same "time repeats itself" concept applies here and the only difference is this is a love story where the lady is shot and the lead must relive this everyday or do something about it. The lead actor is alright, he looks similar to David "Ross" Schwimmer of friends and the lead actress is beautiful. Jeremy Piven also co- stars, makes you wonder how long he's been in the game in Hollywood. (Groundhog day for television? You decide).
