Don Willmott Filmcritic.com At their best, Hong Kong actioners are totally fun thrill rides. At their worst, they're boring as hell. Rated: 2.5/5 Sep 17, 2008 Full Review Mark Pollard Kung Fu Cinema Sluggish, overlong Hong Kong action movie from NEW POLICE STORY director Benny Chan can be summed up in two words, epic misfire. Rated: 1.5/5 Jun 20, 2008 Full Review Read all reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/14/24 Full Review Audience Member Un très bon effort du cinéma HongKongais. Beaucoup d'action et de scène de combats. Un scénario correct sans être extravagant et des acteurs pour la pluspart convaincant. A voir si on aime les films d'action sans trops se casser la tête Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Additional 0.5 star for the action stunts of Tse and Yu. While Wu Jing still fighting in SPL & SPL2, strong martial base. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member All three main characters made a great impression. How ever the deepest was made by Jaycee, and that when he still was new in the game - such a great preformance. This is by the far most enthralling actionmovie I ever seen. When you think it's over... forget it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I have found this film in the "gun fu" category on the Wikipedia, but there's next to no "gun fu" there, it's just a usual action film with fights, not at all related to a skillfull use of "gun fu". The fights are good. What is really amasing about that film is the way the "evil" characters gloat, how they do dramatic silence, acting "cool". They discuss morals. It is a very sentimental film. The cops are equally blessed with integrity and raw emotions. The characters are (arche)typical and in retrospect seem very naive but I was moved. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Fast-paced, action-packed and entertaining. Explosions and gunfire are the excuse for the lack of story and character depth.
